The Etihad Stadium in the city of Manchester is home to Manchester City Football Club, located on Ashton New Road. It is currently the ninth largest ground in the United Kingdom, however there are plans to increase the club’s capacity to 62,000. This will make it the second largest ground in the country after their bitter local rivals, Manchester United, which play their home games at Old Trafford football stadium. There is also a Metrolink service that provides regular trams right to the Etihad arena itself which is probably a better option if you have luggage, when staying in cheap places to stay.
