Why book a room near Manchester Central Convention Complex ?
If you’re always wanted to discover Manchester’s unmatched beauty on your own and take the time you need to contemplate its unique architectural jewels, you may want to start by visiting the Manchester Central Convention Complex.
This gem represents one of England’s most important and attractive conference and exhibition centres, and it is surrounded by countless accessible and alluring accommodation options that may be to your liking. Hotels nearby are close to Manchester Piccadilly and Oxford Road stations and easily accessible from the airport by car or shuttle.
This conference centre gave a new meaning to the Manchester Central railway station, projected by Sir John Fowler. The structure inaugurated in 1880 displayed a distinctive element: a giant arched roof with a total span measuring no less than 70 yards. After serving as a railway terminus for almost 90 years, it was abandoned.
However, shortly after its decline, the structure was renovated and turned into an aesthetically pleasing exhibition center. From the mid-80s until 1995, this new trendy location represented Manchester’s main music concert and entertainment venue, until the grand Manchester (formerly Phones 4U) Arena was inaugurated. In 2008, this centre was remodelled to be able to host conferences. Up until now, it has managed to preserve its iconic status and is still considered the second largest concert venue located in Manchester.
The G-Mex Centre is famous for the fact that it has organized numerous concerts sustained by the hottest rock bands and solo artists of the moment, including Metallica, Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand and Marilyn Manson. The centre is currently being serviced by tram services ensured by Metrolink.
Cheap Accommodation – Where Should I Stay ?
In case you want to stay as close to the exhibition centre as possible and you can spend a few extra pounds on first-class accommodation alternatives, you can always get a room at the Radisson Blu Edwardian Manchester, a truly historical facility with an impeccable reputation. The Midland, Novotel Manchester Centre, Arora Hotel Manchester and Hilton Manchester Deansgate are four delightful 4-star hotels located in the vicinity of the Manchester Central Convention Complex that you may find appropriate for your stay in England.
Roomzzz Manchester lets you relax in a 48-bed award-winning hotel located only three minutes away from the conference centre. Famous for its Victorian style, high ceilings, impeccable service and long windows, this nurturing environment will make you feel comfortable as soon as you set foot inside. The Light ApartHotel Manchester, Mercure Manchester Piccadilly, The Merchants and Britannia Sachas represent relatively inexpensive bed and breakfast facilities that will make your trip to Manchester truly memorable without forcing you to cope with unnecessary expenses.
