The city of Peterborough lies at the heart of the East Anglian countryside and the banks of the River Nene, about 75 miles north of London in the county of Cambridgeshire.

The Peterborough area rich in history, as is today evidenced by the Gothic cathedrals and pre-Bronze Age ruins that remain. The Fens to the east of the city are also remarkable preservers of prehistoric artefacts and tools. But the city is not all bucolic.
