Anfield is the official stadium of Liverpool Football Club and has a capacity of roughly 45,000, ranking it the 7th largest football ground in England. Liverpool Lime Street rail station is the nearest main train station of Liverpool city centre, 2 miles away. Taxis are usually around.
You can get also on to the underground system through to Central or Moorfields and get a train on the Northern Line towards either Kirkby or Ormskirk. Alight at Kirkdale or Sandhills and you can walk to the ground. There are frequent shuttle buses from Sandhills Station, on the Merseyrail Northern Line on a matchday.
By Car
Coming from the North
Driving from the North you have to exit the M6 at junction 28, than follow the signs for Liverpool A58 into Walton Hall Avenue, drive past Stanley Park and turn left into Anfield Road where you will see the football ground.
Driving from the South
When travelling from the South take the M62 to the end of the motorway, than turn right into Queens Drive A5058, after 3 mile turn left into Utting Avenue, after 1 mile turn left into Anfield Road, location of the the Reds football stadium.
Coming from the East
Drive via the Mersey Tunnel (toll tunnel), and follow signs for Preston A580, you will arrive to Walton Hall Avenue. Just before you get to Stanley Park turn left into Anfield Road, where you will see Liverpool’s home ground.
By Bus – Coach
The stadium is well serviced by local buses. Line 26 (from Paradise St. bus station) or 17B, 17C, 17D & 217 (from Queen Square bus station) stop directly to the ground. Line 68 & 168 (between Bootle and Aigburth) or line 14 (from Queen Square) & 19 stop a short walk away.
