Why Should You Go ?
With the recent entries into the Guinness Book of World Records for the most number of people (3152) dressed in onesies and the longest scream ever (525 seconds), Drayton Manor Theme Park and Thomas Land has much to offer you and your children.
It doesn’t matter whether you love chocolate, history, action, adventure, animals or skiing, there is something for you. And don’t worry about car parking. There is ample parking space for visitors. If you want to relieve your tension by screaming your heart out, there is the Shockwave ride for you.
For those who love anything horrifying, there is the Haunting (Aerial Park). Want to experience being a pirate? Go to Pirate Cove. Your children would love Thomas Land which is dedicated to Thomas the Tank Engineer and his friends – toys, books, collectibles, games and what not. Dinotrail offers Discovery Museum and a walk-through of Dinosaurland to watch lifelike dinosaurs.
It’s a family theme park with kids rides, family fun, zoo, and thrill rides. Several hotel accommodation can be around this themepark. One of the nearest hotels is Premier Inn Central, located not far from Tamworth train station.

What Else Can You See ? Tamworth – Cadbury’s World
Near the park, there is the historic market town of Tamworth, which is worth dropping by. The Norman Castle with the second biggest motte after Windsor Castle is here. Tamworth Castle also has a bailey and is well-preserved, depicting the area’s Norman history.
The other not to be missed place is Cadbury’s World. Here you and your kids not only get to learn about how to make chocolate but also try your hand at making chocolates. And while you are here, don’t forget to enjoy the chocolate rain. If you love skiing, visiting UK’s very first standard sized indoor ski slope covered in real snow, The Snowdome is a must.
