Stafford Town Centre in England UK
It’s location makes it easily accessible for visitors travelling by car as it is ideally located just off of the M6 and is signposted well, making it easy to find. Despite being home to a university, undoubtedly filled with young students, the town still seems to retain it’s tranquility and peace without suffering the anti-social behaviour many university students exhibit nowadays.
The town centre really is bursting with character, the ancient high house being a huge favourite. This is the oldest Elizabethan timber framed town house in England which is now a museum and definitely worth a visit.
If it’s more history you’re after then take a trip to the Stafford castle ruins, these are good to visit all year round but if you get a chance to see the annual Shakespeare plays they put in then you are in for a treat. One of the amazing things about Stafford is how tranquil Victoria park is despite the fact it is situated in the middle of the busy town centre.
It is also a diverse place with something for everyone, whether you want the tranquil, peaceful attractions or you want the exhilarating thrill rides they have at the nearby alton towers theme park. It is an ideal place to stay for the theme park visitors, with cheap hotels not far from the park gates.
Find your hotel or b&b room !
Many people staying here also look for accommodation close to alton towers as this theme park is situated just off the M6. Whether you are looking for this or you’re on a budget looking for a cheap bed and breakfast or cheap hotel, the town will have the ideal accommodation for you. It really is down to your taste.
There are plenty of chic, cheap establishments near the town centre for reasonable prices but many of the visitors prefer the little, cute guest houses situated just outside the city centre.
For some reason, people seem to love the charm and personal service of a bed and breakfast. Many of the best properties are situated not far from St George’s hospital as well, the hospital is in a good location, just outside the town centre. This is also an ideal place to put a guest stay, far enough out the way to avoid noise pollution but certainly close enough to stroll into the town, exploring the vast choice of restaurants and bars on a night.
