A hub of training
Although the site has come a long way, it has consistently served as a lifeline to those nearby in desperate need of aid for a wide variety of ailments. In more recent years, several developments have refashioned the medical centre as a hub of training, while the accident and emergency department has been fine-tuned to better serve patients on-site, rather than refer them to the larger clinics and hospitals in the region. Outpatient services and maternity care have also become an increasingly important part of the core care philosophy.
