The Royal Derby medical centre is one of two teaching hospitals in the city of Derby. The other one is the London Road Community Hospital. How to reach the Royal Derby hospital, and things to see and do nearby
The hospital is conveniently located on Uttoxeter Road, just three miles from the centre of the city. It can be easily reached by car by taking the M1, A50 or A38. There are also ample bus, cycle and walking routes to the doors of the building.
There is plenty to see and do in the city itself. For example, if you stay in a bed and breakfast in the vicinity, you could visit the magnificent old country house known as Calke Abbey. Another popular spot to visit is Donington Park, which as well as being home to another splendid country house also has some excellent cycle tracks.
