The original Birmingham City Hospital was built around a plan devised by Florence Nightingale and offered patients the best possible care when it opened in the 19th century. Today, it has undergone extensive renovation and expansion and it still offers its patients a comprehensive range of care and treatment that is second to none. It is managed by the Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust which is based in West Bromwich, a district in greater Birmingham.
The facility offers patients a wide range of services including specialist care and general medicine.
