Location
Connections between Leith and Edinburgh are easy. It’s a couple of miles along Leith Walk into Edinburgh, but buses run every couple of minutes and are not expensive. Taxis are easy to come by in the centre of Edinburgh and only cost a few pounds from Edinburgh to Leith.
Edinburgh has a huge range of attractions, museums and galleries. There are plenty of bars and restaurants at the Edinburgh end of Leith Walk in the Omni Centre and around the Playhouse Theatre.
When visiting the city Leith is an ideal place to stay and the perfect base for exploring Edinburgh and the rest of the Lothians. The old port area is located a 10 to 15 minutes drive away (2,5 miles) from central Edinburgh in Scotland and the Royal Mile, Princes Street and Waverley railway station. Other attractions include the National Museum of Scotland and St Giles Cathedral.
Leith is directly connected by Leith Walk. This street runs from the East End of Princes Street into the district. The city’s Airport can be reached within a 20-minute drive. Easter Road, the home of Hibernian F.C. is a 10-minute walk away.
