The complex was constructed in 1991, and it enjoyed a glorious opening night with Paul Simon crooning his mesmerising tunes. The venue went through several identity changes since then, and today, it is known as the Sheffield Arena. It houses the biggest surviving Bessemer Converter, an old industrial steam engine and reconstructed workshops of the factory workers.
