Shopping Hot Spot at Christmas Time
During the festive season there’s everything from pantomimes and festive shows, X-Mas events, music and carols along with Christmas markets.
For many, X-Mas holidays means one thing, shopping. There’s a traditional market held in Whitefriars Square. It has a large selection of stalls, entertainment and great food. It’s the perfect opportunity to do your shopping. Buy gifts for your loved ones and don’t forget yourself. Check out the Advent Fair, Austrian Gift Fair and the X-Mas Fair at King Edward Court.
Book the Best Accommodation
Reserve cheap hotels or a bed and breakfast establishment in early December so you can see the Herne Bay X-Mas lights switch-on. It’s always best to book well in advance of your trip whether it’s a b&B, guest house or self-catering apartment. Holidays here are very popular at this time of year, so accommodation is at a premium.
After doing your X-Mas shopping, how about taking the kids to a panto or a festive show. They are sure to enjoy Dick Whittington, Jack and the Beanstalk, Hansel and Gretel or for you the Nutcracker Suite.
Spend a morning or afternoon shopping in one of the many local markets before going to a Christmas carol service. There are also family carol concerts and other X-Mas events.
After an evening’s entertainment what could be better returning to your cheap bed and breakfast, hotels or apartment? Check online for the best b&b accommodation for your festive holidays this year. Rooms are bright and airy with everything you could wish for. Enjoy a delicious full English breakfast each morning when staying in a b&b.

The best cheap hotels and bed and breakfast accommodation in Canterbury can be found online. If shopping is your thing how about reserving a b&b not far from a market? Being central will give you lots of time to explore the city and soak up the X-Mas atmosphere.
There’s the chance for the children to meet Santa Claus, go on a bear hunt at the Gulbenkian Theatre or decorate the town Christmas tree at the Beach Creative Community Arts Centre.
When it comes to dining out there’s a good range of restaurants, cafes, tea rooms, pubs and bars. Remember to set some time aside to relax in your comfy accommodation, ready for the next day.
