Kendal is a popular gateway to the Lake District with Lake Windermere being only 9 miles, it offers a variety of accommodation for tourists from established national hospitality brands to local independent establishments. Days Inn have a hotel close to the M6 on the outskirts of town, great for families and has a McDonalds and Costa within their Main Amenities Building. How to get there
By Train
There are 2 railway stations in town – Kendal and Oxenholme which on the West Coast rail mainline. Kendal Station is closer to the venue, but a taxi ride from Oxenholme will only take 5 minutes.
By Car
When driving on the M6 south – leave M6 at Junction 36 and follow signs
When coming from the M6 North – leave M6 at Junction 37 and follow signs
When in Kendal, look at the Car Parking to view the numerous car parks available. Additional car parks are also available at Kendal College and at the Leisure Centre. Be aware this is not an overnight parking.
By Coach
There are a vast amount of coaches available that travel to Kendal. The bus stop is only a short walk to KMF venues.
