Where to stay for the night ?
From grander resort-style hotels to smaller historic guest houses, Norwich has plenty of choice when it comes to booking great quality accommodation. If you like to be in the heart of town, you can choose to stay in a large city hotel with a riverside location that’s close to shops and restaurants. In this category, there are laid back boutique-style hotels with stylish interiors and designer toiletries, or stately hotels in Georgian buildings with all the sumptuous period detail you’d expect.
Larger properties are well appointed with mini bars and places to eat onsite. If you are stopping over for just 24hrs, you can order room service if you’d prefer to take breakfast in bed, or dine in your hotel’s restaurant if you arrive on an evening flight.
Guest houses and Bed and Breakfasts are another option if you’re planning to spend a few nights close to the aerodrome. Some of these are also located close to the city centre amenities, quirkily set in buildings which used to be shops or pubs, or in informal family homes. Others enable you to see more of Norfolk’s rural beauty, by staying in a country home, a barn conversion, or a working farm. Villages like Hickling and Loddon are quintessentially East Anglian and make the ideal setting for an extended break in peaceful Norfolk.
Choosing a self catering home near to Norwich airport is ideal if you prefer a holiday which unfolds at your own pace. You can stay in a chocolate box cottage in a remote location, if you plan to get away from it all for a couple of days. Alternatively, if you’re looking forward to exploring Norwich by day and night, you could go for a slick city centre apartment which offers easy access to shops, restaurants and bars.
