Exploring By Foot
Strolling around Birmingham is one of the best ways to see all of the sights. With plenty of pleasant pedestrianised zones, it’s easy to enjoy a safe and relaxed wander around the city’s compact centre with its shops, bars, restaurants and attractions.

Buses And Metros
Birmingham has an excellent public transport network with both buses and metros linking all areas of the city. Trams run to Bull Street in the centre of the city as well as to New Street Station and Corporation Street and local rail services run from Snow Hill station to the wider surrounding area of Worcester and Solihull.
Buses cannot be hailed in Birmingham and therefore, passengers must wait at a designated stop in order to catch one of the bus services. Passengers must also pay the driver with exact change.
Train Services
Thanks to Birmingham’s location in the heart of the UK, it is a transport hub for anyone travelling in the UK.
New Street Station is the country’s busiest interchange with nationwide services while Moor Street Station and Snow Hill Station serves the local area.
Airport Links
Birmingham has linked to the rest of the world via the city’s airport. With direct flights to over 150 different destinations worldwide, travellers can access the city centre direct from the airport with the free Air-Rail Link which takes just 2 minutes, with one of 5 different bus services, by taxi or, of course, by car.
There is ample car parking at the airport itself as well as at several park and ride locations in the local area.
Taxi Services
Birmingham has a plentiful supply of taxis, including the TOA black cabs which serve the entire city and beyond.
The city centre itself has numerous taxi ranks, with the easiest ones to find being located at Digbeth Coach Station, on Stephenson Street and at New Street Station. Alternatively, it’s possible to hail a cab on the street.

Birmingham’s Cycle Revolution project has seen countless traffic free cycle paths being introduced across the city.
