accommodationDouglas became a prominent seaside resort during Victorian times and many landmarks are testimonies to this glorious period. Walking around the town centre is one of the best ways to get a feel of this historical importance.

Consider a stroll along the famous Promenade to enjoy beautiful views of the seafront, and if you are traveling during late spring or summer, don’t forget to take a ride on the horse drawn trams, the Steam trains and the Manx Electric Railway, along the coast as far as the southern tip of the Isle of Man.

A range of low cost hotels and cheap b&b’s are present in the town centre, which makes all travel easy and convenient.

Once you have taken in the wonderful Victorian architecture, have a relaxing walk in Noble’s Park and indulge in local gastronomy at one of the numerous pubs and restaurants.
